The banks are open here from 9:00 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. (Sound familiar?) You can get 24-hour ATM cards, debit and credit cards, and most merchants are set up to accept credit and debit transactions.
The water in Puerto Vallarta is clean and safe to drink, and meets the same standards that US drinking water meets. Most restaurants use purified water, and have a second filtration system for water and ice. You can also buy bottled water imported from the US, and purified water is available for sale virtually everywhere you go. Most Puerto Vallarta luxury homes have water filtration systems as well.
Mail will also be delivered to your Puerto Vallarta luxury home, but most people prefer to receive important papers via the local courier services – UPS, FedEx and DHL. Mexico is considered by many to be a “Roman Catholic” country, but you’ll find religious services for most denominations in Puerto Vallarta. Most services are conducted in Spanish, but some denominations offer English services as well.
