Puerto Vallarta Land Shows Its Value

Puerto Vallarta Land Shows Its Value
As it turns out, an investment in Puerto Vallarta land may be more important than you imagine! A recent Gallup Poll of Americans asked respondents to guess the percentage of currently employed workers who plan to retire at the age of 65 or older. The responses indicated that 67% of workers would stay in the workforce at least until they’d reached 65. Another question asked respondents how many currently employed workers would continue to work “in some capacity” after they retired. The responses indicated that 63% of currently employed workers would continue to work after retirement.

The reality, however, is that 51% of all workers exit the workforce before the age of 65. Most never return “in some capacity.” In fact, only 25% of people over the age of 65 are employed. The reasons for this vary greatly. In some cases, health issues force older workers to retire early. Shrinking job markets, layoffs and corporate downsizing, forced retirements and other events that are largely out of the worker’s control have a decided impact on when and how they retire.

The “when” of retirement is the single largest determinant of a successful and comfortable retirement. Leaving the workforce after achieving your retirement savings and investment goals is critical to a well-financed retirement. Factors like inflation, the rising cost of health care, the poor health of oneself or one’s spouse, consumer or mortgage debt and the declining value of investments like real estate and retirement funds can all make a dent in your retirement savings. Combined, these factors can be deadly.

To ensure that your retirement savings are both secure and adequate, consider investing in Puerto Vallarta land. The appreciation rates of Puerto Vallarta land and luxury properties here have averaged about 10 percent per year for the past ten years. This kind of investment is especially useful if you’re attempting to grow your retirement savings after you’ve left the workforce, or are likely to live a longer-than-average life.

You’ll find substantial benefits to purchasing Puerto Vallarta land and building a dream retirement home here. In addition to enjoying Puerto Vallarta’s beautiful climate, you’ll also find a very reasonable cost of living, a vibrant expatriate community, and excellent health and dental care.
