Planning On Buying Land In Mexico? Bring Your Car!
If you’re planning to retire in Mexico, or are actively researching the prospect of buying land in Mexico, don’t do another thing without talking to someone from Select Mexico Properties. Buying real estate in Mexico is one of the best investments you can make right now, but aside from the astronomical appreciation rates you’ll enjoy, there are other benefits, too!
If you enter the country on a six-month visa, you can register your car at the same time. There are no additional papers or registrations you need to complete, and there are no license plates, or additional taxes on vehicles. The only thing you need to keep with you is a copy of your visa paperwork, since it contains information about the vehicle. When you leave, you do not need to take the car with you. Park it in your garage here and leave it. You’ll never pay registration fees, license taxes, inspection fees or any other fees associated with your vehicle again.
If you plan to move here permanently, you can also register your car at the time you enter the country. The same process applies. You’ll need to carry a copy of your visa papers in the car, but once the car is registered, you’re done.
If you don’t want to bring your car, there are plenty of other transportation options available if you’re planning on buying land in Mexico. In Puerto Vallarta, the city provides a good mass transit system, which is widely available throughout the city. Buses travel as far north as San Pancho, so you can easily make it to Puerto Vallarta using public transportation.
In addition, the states of Jalisco and Nayarit are considering a joint aqua-taxi service for the Banderas Bay area. This would allow you to travel quickly by boat to one of many stops around Banderas Bay. Aqua taxis would be affordable and would help bypass any traffic congestion in the city – ideal for retirement living in Puerto Vallarta!
If you’re considering buying land in Mexico, please don’t do anything until you contact a Select Mexico Properties sales representative. We can help you understand the complete process of buying land in Mexico.
