Mexican Vacation Home Makes For Great Year-Round Living

junglerainIf you’ve been reading this blog, you know that Puerto Vallarta is an absolutely magical place in the winter. From November to May, the weather is virtually unstoppable. But want would your Mexican vacation home be like from May to November?

Puerto Vallarta is still exquisite after May. The average temperature here is about 85° F. From July to October is the “rainy season”, when Puerto Vallarta soaks up the showers that Mother Nature uses to make the Puerto Vallarta greenery stand out.

The rainy season here isn’t obnoxious, and your Mexican vacation home would be naturally protected from the violent summer weather that other coastal resort towns in Mexico experience. Puerto Vallarta is sheltered from tropical storms and is covered with dense vegetation, so while the rains do fall, they’re generally gentle and the temperature in Puerto Vallarta is much more like mid-summer temperatures in Midwestern US cities than those in the desert Southwest.

Puerto Vallarta is beautiful year-round, and many people choose to make their Mexican vacation home a permanent home once they see a Puerto Vallarta “summer.” Puerto Vallarta does experience temperature variations, but they’re not extreme. You’ll never see “cold” temperatures here, and while the temperatures do exceed 85°, that’s unusual to see those highs for very long.

If you’re not worried about getting wet, Puerto Vallarta is still an exceptional place in the summer months, and you’ll soon find that your Mexican vacation home is just as enjoyable in the rains as it is in the beautiful winter sunshine.

Whether you’re ready to experience Puerto Vallarta year-round, or you just want a gorgeous Mexican vacation home, contact a Select Mexico Properties sales representative today.
