International Living Magazine has named Mexico its number one retirement destination in its annual report of the best places to retire. According to the magazine’s 15th annual retirement index, Mexico’s retirement lifestyle scored the number one designation for its combination of cost-of-living, modern amenities, culture, health care services, climate and infrastructure.

The magazine is reporting on what more than one million Americans already know: Mexico is a great place to retire to. In the coming years, as many as eight million American retirees may move out of the United States to places like Mexico.
